Cultivating a decade worth of marketing-communications experience, Marlene has ventured into entertainment, fashion retail and non-profit. Marlene has worked for Hollywood majors such as Sony Pictures Television and NBCUniversal, promoting globally-popular shows to audiences across the Asia Pacific. In 2013, she was awarded “Best Use of PR” for a successful PR campaign at the NBCUniversal International Television Awards.
She also has a keen eye on fashion trends and co-founded a luxurious multi-label clothing brand in 2015, which brings evening wear to Singapore and makes women feel confident one dress at a time.
Now at Refinery Media, Marlene comes aboard as the Head for Partnerships, Marketing and Public Relations. Alongside the creative team, she helps local and regional broadcasters and brands to drive their business goals through compelling content creation and engagement across multiple platforms.
While also based in Shanghai, Marlene has successfully secured renowned international brands across industries to her portfolio, and will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities and managing partnerships for Refinery Media.
Marlene is definitely a ray of sunshine in our already very well-lit office. While it’s true we dress a little better around her, her infectious smile reminds us that the best accessory we could ever wear does not cost a penny (maybe a few wrinkles).
